2012 China‘s Most Influential International Academic Journal from USTC

"Cellular & Molecular Immunology", one of the most influential journals in the field of immunology in the Asia-Pacific region won the “2012 China's most influential international academic journal Award" at a conference held Dec 26th, 2012 in Beijing.
The USTC sponsored journal is undertaken by School of Life Sciences of the University of Science and Technology of China. Founded in 2004, as China's only immunological SCI source journal, "Cellular & Molecular Immunology" has over 500 contributors from 27 countries and regions. The articles have been quoted by nearly 2,000 scholars from 51 countries and regions as well as some top international journals. In 2011, the impact factor is 2.992, which is higher than the average of impact factors of all global immunology journals. The year 2012 is estimated to witness a prominent growth in the impact factor, increasing to about 3.5, by 16.7%.
The "China's most influential international academic journal Award" ceremony was held at the National Conference Center in Beijing. This is the first time this Award is issued. "China academic journal impact factor annual report & International Citation Reports (2012 Edition)" was released at the conference.
"China Academic Journal International Citation Reports (2012 Edition)" is released by the Chinese Academic Journal electronic magazine (CNKI), Chinese sciences bibliometric evaluation research center and Tsinghua University Library. This report is a symbol that China's academic journals have a unified certification mark of international influence, which is also the first time to reveal achievements and problems during the process that Chinese academic journals move towards the world comprehensively, systematacially and in depth, from the perspective of bibliometric. According to the 2011 bibliometric indicators of each academic journal, fifteen medical journals were selected as "2012 China's most influential international academic journal", out of 3533 kinds of science and technology journals.
At present, "Cellular & Molecular Immunology" ranks first among medical SCI journals in China, and we can see it has a promising future.
