The international symposium of 2013 Asian G-WADI remote sense and the eco-hydrology in arid regions was held in Beijing, Sep. 16-20, 2013. Over 90 Professors and scholars attended the symposium. The symposium was hosted by Prof. Li Xin from CAREERI and Prof. Sorooshian from University of California. This symposium was financially supported by the UNESCO, CAS, International Program of MAIRS, CAREERI and IAP of CAS.
The main topic of the international symposium of remote sense and eco-hydrology was eco-hydrology issues in arid and semi-arid regions, and the symposium shared the progressive techniques of remote sense data assimilation, and it will promote the water resource management in arid and semi-arid regions. The topics of international symposium include: 1) the processes of eco-hydrology and the simulation application in the inland basin of arid regions. 2) The research on comprehensive eco-hydrological processes in inland river basin. 3) The application of remote sense in arid regions. 4) The ecological security in arid regions, the sustainable uses of water resources and the integrated watershed management.
