The Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute signed a cooperation agreement with the Lanzhou New Area on Dec. 25, 2013. 

After the signing ceremony, CAREERI will strengthen the cooperation with the Lanzhou New Area in the field of the urban ecological construction, the development of water resources exploitation and utilization, and the pollution control, and so on. 

As one of the five big new development areas of state-level, the Lanzhou New Area is an important window and portal for the international communication and cooperation. Therefore, the Lanzhou New Area hopes CAREERI utilize advantages and combine the reality, promote the development of the Lanzhou New Area. 

Leaders and directors from Lanzhou New Area and CAREERI attended the signing ceremony, and then visited the innovative science and technology museum of CAREERI.
