The conference for 2013 science and technology progress award of Gansu Province was held in Lanzhou on Feb. 12, 2014. CAREERI’s achievements won the prize. 

The Aeolian-Fluvial Interplayed Processes and Mechanism, which was hosted by Prof. Tuo Wanquan, won the first-prize for the Natural Sciences Award. 

Observation and Theoretical Research of Thunderstorm and Lightning Discharge, which was hosted by Prof. Qie Xiushu, won the second-prize for the Natural Sciences Award. 

The Technique Integration and Experiment Demonstration of Desertification Control and Ecological Rehabilitation in Minqin Oasis, which was hosted by Prof. Xiao Honglang, won the second-prize for the Science and Technology Progress Award.
