The tenth public science day was held in CAREERI on May 17 to 18, and the theme of this science open activity is “science and technological innovation helps you to realize your dream” 

CAREERI opened three key laboratories and a science and technology museum to the public to visit, and they are the State Key Laboratory of Cryospheric Sciences, the State Key Laboratory of Frozen Soil Engineering, the Key Laboratory of Desert and Desertification of CAS and the Science and Technology Museum, respectively. 

Scientists also gave scientific reports on the global climate change and the cryospheric sciences, and CAREERI also had large sand table models to show the public, embodied the latest research achievements of CAREERI, and gave the public a chance to face to face scientists. 

There were more than 400 college students and middle school students attended this public science activity during the two days, and they showed strong interests in the research achievements of CAREERI, especially in the field of Antarctic scientific investigation, the frozen soil engineering and the formation of sandstorms and desertification. 

It is reported that students from Lanzhou University, Northwest Normal University, Lanzhou Jiaotong University, and Primary School and Middle School of Lanzhou Branch Chinese Academy of Sciences attended this science open activity.
