Dr. John Pomeroy, who comes from University of Saskatchewan, was invited by the Prof. Li Xin, will give an academic report about hydrology in cold regions on September 27, 2013.  

Speaker: Dr. John Pomeroy 

Title of the Report: Hydrological Prediction Using Physical Principles in Cold Regions 

Time: 15:00-17:00 on September 27, 2013. 

Site: The conference room on 4F in the State Key Laboratory of Frozen Soil Engineering. 

Dr. John Pomeroy is the Canada Research Chair in Water Resources and Climate Change, a professor of Geography and Director of the Center for Hydrology at the University of Saskatchewan, an Honorary Professor of the Center for Glaciology, Aberystwyth University, and an Institute Professor for the Biogeoscience Institute of the University of Calgary. He serves, or has served as President of the International Commission for Snow and Ice Hydrology (ICSIH), Past President of the Canadian Geophysical Union (CGU), and Chair of the IAHS Prediction in Ungauged Basins (PUB). 

Scientific research personnel and graduate students will be welcome to attend the report.
