In order to enhance the disease resistance of cut flower lily, roots and scales of lily bulb were soaked in oligosaccharide(OS) with 50 mg·5L-1, 100 mg·5L-1, 300 mg·5L-1, 500 mg·5L-1 before being planted or embedded. Growth indexes, the activities of defensive enzyme such as POD, PAL, PPO and disease index were determined by two separate trials, those were field test and embedded scales test. The result showed that all OS treatments can increase activities of defensive enzyme and budding rate of scales, reduce disease, and then improve growth properties including the height and the thickness of stems. Compared to control (CK), the treatment with OS 300 mg\5L-1 can significantly promote plant physiological and biochemical indexes and disease resistance. Further, all treatments have no damage to cut flower lily, so OS could be suggested to be used for defending cut flower lily disease as efficient revulsant.
