Land surface temperature (LST) is an important parameter in meteorology, hydrology,ecology  and etc.The splits window algorithm is recommended to retrieve the important parameter like atmospheric transmittance and surface emissivity  using MODIS data, and then the land surface temperature is evaluated  using the algorithm. Comparison  between the surface measured and retrieved data showed that using the splits window algorithm method can obtain the reasonable land surface temperature, practically according with the surface status.
